Show your fat some love. That's right, grab a big handful, put your lips up to it, and show it some love.
You may think I'm crazy, but dietary fats are your new best friend when it comes to weight loss, body fat loss, heart health, and a quicker ticker. Read on for 4 fabulous reasons eat more fat.
1. Ancestral diets were centered around healthy fats.
The kind of fats found in grass fed butter, nuts and seeds, tropical fats like coconut and palm oil, and healthy saturated fats from seafood and pasture raised animals. Due to the healthy, high-fat diets of these populations, disease and obesity were almost nonexistent.
2. Fat soluble vitamin deficiencies are at an all time high in the U.S.
If you find yourself reaching for fat free dairy products, baked goods, dressings, and other processed frankenfoods, I've got bad news for you… Many vitamins essential in our diets (vitamins A, D, E, & K specifically) are fat soluble, meaning they need to be consumed with dietary fat in order to be absorbed and processed.
This means vitamins A & K found in your daily spinach and kale salad are going nowhere if you're not consuming it with healthy fats, like those in our Body By Butter dressings. How's that for a swift kick to the behind of the “fat free diet”?
3. Cholesterol is the building block of healthy hormones.
To ensure healthy adrenal function, sex hormone balance, and a healthy metabolism, adequate dietary fat intake is an absolute must. The verdict is in and the old fashioned notion of dietary cholesterol being bad for you is out.
Have you had lab work showing you're low in vitamin D? Cholesterol is the precursor to vitamin D in the body. Maybe that's why egg yolks are the color of the sun?
4. Your brain is made of fat & cholesterol.
Not only that, but 50% of the cell membranes in the rest of your body prefer to be made of saturated fats, too. Fat free diets don't just starve your body, they also starve your brain. This is one reason our Butter Coffee is known to help improve cognitive function and mental clarity. Seriously, folks, it's time that we ditch the stigma attached to fat and cholesterol.
Despite weighing only a few pounds in relation to the rest of your body, the brain contains 25% of your body's total cholesterol, and several of the brain's most important antioxidants are fat soluble. Without adequate dietary fat, we can't absorb these critical phytonutrients.
You don't have to end your fat education here, I have an entire free 7 day detox + Ebook that teaches you how you can increase your healthy fat intake and decrease your body fat composition.

I totally 100% agree with this! Healthy fat won’t make you fat – it’s necessary and is one of my biggest lessons I’ve learned.
